Aesthetic profile
Your Aesthetic Profile is a six-dimensional fingerprint of your visual taste. It's built through an interactive image preference test and visualized as a radar chart — giving both you and Virse a shared language for what you find beautiful.
The six dimensions
Vivid
Saturated, colorful imagery vs. muted, tonal palettes
Complexity
Rich detail and intricacy vs. clean minimalism
Order
Structured, geometric compositions vs. organic, chaotic arrangements
Realism
Photorealistic fidelity vs. stylized or illustrative treatments
Abstract
Conceptual or symbolic depth vs. literal, concrete subjects
Temporal
Dynamic, motion-implied energy vs. still, contemplative moments
Each dimension receives a numeric score. Together, the six scores form the shape of your radar chart — a visual summary of your creative identity.
Discovering your profile
During onboarding, Virse walks you through an aesthetic discovery flow:
Candidate sets — You're shown a grid of 4 images at a time.
Pick your favorite — Select the one that resonates most. The others are discarded and replaced.
10 selections to unlock — After 10 picks (skips don't count), your Aesthetic Profile is generated and your radar chart is revealed.
Keep going (optional) — You can continue selecting beyond 10 to sharpen your profile further.
Your progress is saved automatically, so you can close and return without losing selections.
If you skip the aesthetic test during onboarding, Virse will prompt you to complete it the first time you try to enable Memory in the canvas.
Refining your profile
Your profile isn't locked after onboarding. You can return to the personalization flow at any time to make additional selections and shift your scores.
In Personalize mode:
There's no fixed selection count — refine as much or as little as you like.
The radar chart updates to reflect your evolving preferences.
Previous rounds are preserved, so you can navigate back through your selection history.
Beyond active refinement, your profile also learns passively from the images you collect in your asset library and the work you create on the canvas.
Where your profile appears
Radar chart — Visible during the aesthetic test, in personalize mode, and in the Memory dropdown on the canvas.
Memory dropdown — When composing on the canvas, the Aesthetics toggle shows your current radar chart so you can see exactly what profile is being applied.
Generation gating — Virse requires a completed aesthetic test before allowing Aesthetics-enabled generation, ensuring your profile is meaningful before it influences outputs.
