Overview
Taste is your unique asset.
Virse's LAMM (Large Aesthetic Memory Model) is a personal aesthetic memory that learns what you find beautiful. It continuously observes the assets you collect and the work you create, building a multi-dimensional understanding of your creative preferences — then uses that understanding to guide AI generation toward your personal style.
How It Works
Taste operates through two complementary systems:
Aesthetic Profile
Your Aesthetic Profile is a six-dimensional map of your visual preferences, visualized as a radar chart. It captures where you fall on each axis:
Vivid — Your preference for saturated, colorful imagery vs. muted, tonal palettes
Complexity — Whether you gravitate toward rich detail or clean simplicity
Order — Structured, geometric compositions vs. organic, chaotic ones
Realism — Photorealistic imagery vs. stylized or abstract visuals
Abstract — The degree of conceptual or symbolic depth you prefer
Temporal — Dynamic, motion-implied imagery vs. still, contemplative compositions
Continuous Learning
Your profile isn't static. Virse learns from:
Images you collect in your asset library
Work you create on the canvas
Selections you make during the aesthetic onboarding
The more you use Virse, the more refined your Taste becomes.
Unlocking Your Aesthetic Profile
New users go through an aesthetic discovery flow during onboarding:
Virse presents sets of 4 candidate images at a time
You select the image that resonates most with you from each set
After 10 selections, your Aesthetic Profile is unlocked
You can continue selecting beyond 10 to further refine your profile
If you skipped onboarding, you can unlock your Aesthetic Profile anytime from the workspace. Virse will prompt you when you first try to use Memory in the canvas.
Using Taste in the Canvas
Once your profile is unlocked, you can activate it during creation through the Memory dropdown in the canvas chat toolbar.
Memory offers two modes:
Aesthetics
Applies your learned Aesthetic Profile to guide AI generation
Style
Applies a specific custom style you've trained from a set of reference images
You can enable Aesthetics or Style, but not both at the same time. Enabling one automatically disables the other.
When Aesthetics Memory is active, every image you generate is influenced by your personal taste — resulting in outputs that feel more aligned with your creative identity, without needing to describe your style in every prompt.
Refining Your Taste
Your Aesthetic Profile evolves as you work. To actively refine it:
Collect more images — Add references you love to your asset folders. Virse observes and learns from your curation.
Create more work — Each generation on the canvas contributes to Virse's understanding of your preferences.
Re-run the aesthetic test — Navigate to the personalization flow to make additional selections and shift your profile.
