Elements & groups

Elements

Elements are the building blocks of the canvas. There are two types:

  • Image — displays a single image. Can be uploaded, AI-generated, or pulled from a search result.

  • Text — displays formatted text. Supports bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and per-element styling (font, size, color, alignment, background).

Selecting

  • Click an element to select it

  • Ctrl/Cmd+click to add or remove elements from a selection

  • Click and drag on the canvas background to box-select multiple elements

When an element is selected, an editor panel appears on the right with controls specific to that element type.

Moving & resizing

  • Drag an element to move it

  • Drag the corner handles to resize. Images preserve aspect ratio by default.

Deleting

Select one or more elements and press Delete, or right-click and choose Delete.

Groups

Groups let you treat multiple elements as a unit for batch operations, layout, and export.

Creating a group

Select two or more elements and create a group from the right panel. The group is saved — it persists when you deselect.

Group operations

With a group selected, the right panel gives you:

Action
What it does

Run All

Runs AI generation on every element in the group sequentially

Auto Layout

Arranges elements in a grid with consistent spacing

Export All

Downloads all images in the group as a batch

Ungroup

Dissolves the group, keeps the elements

Search groups

Search groups are a special kind of group created when you run a search query. The results land inside a bounded region on the canvas, each as its own image element. Search groups have their own chat interface for re-running or modifying the query.

See Connections & flows for how to create a search group by drawing a line.
